Nepali migrants
hopes to start new work among Nepali migrants in India, and to help combat people trafficking. Many Nepali migrants are vulnerable to health problems, exploitation, trafficking and poverty. TEAR Australia has given INF funding for a project to help Nepali migrants. INF plans to raise awareness of HIV / AIDS among migrants, to have a drop-in centre at Nepalgunj near the Nepal-India border, and to provide skills training and health awareness for Nepali migrants in Uttaranchal in India. INF is looking to expand the donor base for this work.
