Are you able to work with patients and their families, community workers, nurses and doctors? INF Nepal is looking for an expatriate Christian nurse or doctor to join its team in the remote town of Jumla, to advise INF staff and mentor government health post staff

 

INF Nepal is looking for an expatriate Christian nurse or doctor with good clinical skills and an interest in community health.

He / she will assist the head of INF's clinic with management.

The INF clinic has TB and leprosy outpatients and inpatients.

INF also runs a skin clinic and dental service.

INF's community health workers focus on government health posts and try to encourage good ante-natal and post-natal care, child immunisation and growth monitoring clinics.

Nutritional clinic follow-up work is also done.

A doctor would have opportunities to mentor the district hospital doctor.

The Health Adviser must be fully registered in his / her home country.

He / she must be able to work in small teams and live in a remote setting for most of the time.

Good language skills are needed, so the Health Adviser needs to have learned Nepali in the past or be committed to achieving fluency.

The post is currently vacant.

Candidates must be proficient in the English language.
Training in the Nepali language is provided for expatriate workers, differing in length depending on the duration of their assignments.

INF is unable to pay salaries to expatriate workers in Nepal.
Expatriates in INF are seconded by agencies in home countries who help them find their funding.

In the UK / Australia / New Zealand one of the options available to candidates is secondment to INF in Nepal via INF UK / INF Australia / INF New Zealand respectively.
