INF Nepal needs expatriate Christians with two years' specialist clinical experience, able to teach

 

INF Nepal needs expatriate Christians specialised in general surgery, orthopædics, obstetrics, anæsthetics, accident and emergency medicine, ear / nose / throat and dentistry to mentor young doctors and help develop medical services in the government's Mid Western Regional Hospital in Surkhet.

Candidates should have two years' clinical experience after obtaining a specialist qualification, and experience in teaching.

Experience of work in a developing country is an advantage, but flexibility, patience and a willingness to learn as well as teach are essential.

Posts may be long- or short-term, but a minimum of five months is required [one month of Nepali language training and four months in post].

Medical Specialists may be asked to assist in the INF medical camps programme.

These posts are currently vacant.

Candidates must be proficient in the English language.
Training in the Nepali language is provided for expatriate workers, differing in length depending on the duration of their assignments.

INF is unable to pay salaries to expatriate workers in Nepal.
Expatriates in INF are seconded by agencies in home countries who help them find their funding.

In the UK / Australia / New Zealand one of the options available to candidates is secondment to INF in Nepal via INF UK / INF Australia / INF New Zealand respectively.
