INF Mugu Programme [IMP] works alongside the people of Mugu District in Karnali Zone in the far north west of Nepal. Food insecurity is a huge problem in this fragile mountain environment which is under increasing population pressure. One of the aims of the programme is to increase food availability at the household level by setting up groups of farmers who are active in investigating and adapting new agricultural technologies through a process of Participatory Technology Development [PTD].
