Paluwa programme provides care and support for people living with HIV / AIDS in and around Pokhara.
It is expected that the work will expand to another centre too. The role requires understanding of HIV / AIDS
strategies in developing countries and involves support for an experienced Nepali manager and staff.
Primary activities include voluntary counselling and testing, a clinic for female sex workers and liaison
with the local government hospital in improving services and reducing discrimination. Paluwa plans to provide
palliative care and the postholder will help to develop this service.
