An INF gynæcology camp earlier this month in the Surkhet District of Nepal’s Mid Western Region treated 280 women. Fifty women were referred to Surkhet District Hospital for surgery. INF is grateful to the International Rescue Committee, which covered all the costs of the camp. ‘Although the INF medical camps team co-operated with Nepal’s government on an ear camp in Doti in March, this was the first time the team had undertaken a camp in partnership with another non-government organisation,’ says Eka Dev Devkota, the co-ordinator of INF’s medical camps.
