Diet Assistant Nanda Kali Magar is one of the most important members of staff at INF’s Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for people with disabilities in Pokhara. ‘Nanda’s job is to provide extra food supplements for patients with malnutrition,’ says Medical Superintendent Dr Iain Craighead. ‘Some patients need extra nutrition and every day Nanda prepares eggs, milk and ‘super porridge’ for those who need it. She has given over 30 years’ service to Green Pastures and her experience, tact and sensitivity make her a valuable member of our team.’
