previous news		Jaya Laxmi and her baby son		INF helps Jaya Laxmi 08 OCT 07 As a result of a bad fall when she was just two years old, Jaya Laxmi Buda from Nepal’s impoverished Jumla District has a deformed spine and pelvis, making normal childbirth impossible. However, with financial assistance from INF’s programmes in Jumla and Surkhet Districts, she was able to travel and receive care at Nepal’s Mid West Regional Hospital in Surkhet, where her baby son was delivered by cæsarean section. INF provides support to the Mid West Regional Hospital, which is developing its services as the regional centre for obstetric emergencies.
