An eight-day INF gynæcological camp which finished last Wednesday treated 878 people. The INF team visiting Bajura District Hospital performed 83 operations and 133 ultrasound scans. ‘The people in Bajura were very positive about our visit,’ says INF’s Ellen Findlay. ‘A request has been made that we conduct a surgical camp there too. We’re willing to do this at a later date, especially as many patients commented on the distance they need to travel for specialised treatment.’ Twelve expatriate medical professionals travelled to Bajura to assist INF’s nine-person Nepali team.
