An eight-day INF ear camp in Kalikot ended yesterday. The feasibility of this camp in a relatively isolated location had been in doubt at one stage, and there had been plans to switch the location to Surkhet, as the timing coincided with 22 November, the date scheduled for Nepal’s general elections which were later postponed. A further 11-day surgical camp in Kalikot is scheduled to start on 2 December. Expatriate medics including INF’s Ellen Findlay and Dr Ian Bissett have travelled to Nepal to join INF’s Nepali medical camps team.
