Green Pastures
UK women back hospital
05 JAN 08
A Women’s Institute in the small village of Longwick in ‘leafy’ Buckinghamshire has raised around £200 [approximately US$400] for INF’s Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for people with disabilities in Pokhara. ‘Our village’s Women’s Institute has decided to adopt INF as our charity. Everyone thinks that INF is a really worthwhile cause,’ says Longwick WI member Julie Bravery. ‘All of the people who saw INF’s publicity material are very supportive. The idea of being able to help people in Nepal has really fired all of our imaginations!’ adds Julie.
