INF is helping Nanda Devi Buda, 35, to have a specialist gynæcological operation. Nanda Devi walked for two days from her home in Martadi to attend an INF gynæcological camp in Bajura last year and was referred for treatment in Kathmandu. Her case is an unusual one and her operation will be attended by three surgeons. INF’s camps poor fund will pay for the costs of Nanda Devi’s care. She will recuperate for three weeks in Kathmandu after her operation, cared for by her husband. The couple have three children.
