Amar Bahadur Basnet, 40, was diagnosed with leprosy at INF’s clinic in Surkhet District. INF treated Amar and trained him to care for his anæsthetic hands and feet, and keep goats and grow vegetables. ‘Growing vegetables will help me feed my family and earn money,’ says Amar. ‘My family may be able to keep goats as a business too, because we live near the forest where there is plenty for the goats to eat.’ If you would like to help people with leprosy-related and other disabilities like Amar, click here.
