An INF ear camp which ended yesterday in Nepal's remote Baitadi District has provided treatment for 909 people. The INF team at the nine-day camp at Patan Primary Health Centre carried out 126 operations and 550 hearing tests and distributed 240 hearing aids. Many people travelled from other parts of the country to seek treatment, including people from the Rolpa, Rukum, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Achham, Kailali and Kanchanpur Districts. Some of the INF team travelled especially from the UK to take part in the camp. The team included: consultants Mike Smith, Ann Dingle, V. Nandapalan and Jon Granger; anæsthetists Charlie Collins, Jeremy Bewley and Joe Riddell; doctor Jonathan Moore; audiologists Emma Hooper, Jonathan Binnington and Jyoti Thapa; and Erica Hughes [outpatients]. Some members of the team will now remain in Baitadi to help conduct an INF surgical camp.
