Catalogue helps TB client
29 Apr 10
Donations to the INF gift catalogue have helped to provide care for Prem Bahadur Rawat at INF's tuberculosis clinic in the town of Nepalgunj.
Prem is originally from a poor family in Nepal's remote Jajarkot District. His stepmother treated him so harshly that he left home with friends and went to Nepalgunj to work in a hotel. While working there he suffered a wound to his leg and, after a visit to a doctor some months later, he was diagnosed with bone TB. He was referred to INF, where patient advocate Indira Tamang helped him to secure a free inpatient bed and free care.
