Representatives of donor organisation Family Health International [FHI] have visited INF’s HIV/AIDS programme ‘Paluwa’, based in Nepal’s second-biggest city Pokhara.

FHI currently donates 40% of the funds needed by Paluwa, which provides support for HIV+ people, awareness raising, voluntary counselling and testing, basic clinical and palliative care, and socio-economic assistance for HIV+ people and their families.

HIV/AIDS is a growing threat to public health in Nepal.

FHI has presented Paluwa with an international ‘Information Education Communication’ award for publicity materials produced by INF’s Communications Department.
