INF partner organisation Tearfund UK has announced that it will give US$65,000 in funding to INF’s health and development programme in Nepal’s remote, impoverished Mugu District.
US$52,000 of the funding is designated for food security and livelihood development work, including agriculture, livestock and forestry development and income generation, while the remaining US$13,000 is designated for support for economic migrants from the area, including HIV / AIDS awareness raising and advocacy.
‘INF would like to express its sincere gratitude to Tearfund for this very generous assistance,’ says INF’s Mugu District Programme Manager Buddhi Thapa.
