Indira helps TB patients
04 Oct 08
Indira Tamang, 34, is the new Patient Advocate in INF’s tuberculosis [TB] clinic in Nepalgunj, a major town close to Nepal’s border with India.
Indira’s husband Krishna has himself recovered from TB, which is a major threat to public health in Nepal.
Indira helps to provide practical support for the patients in INF’s TB clinic, and particularly likes to help lift their spirits. ‘When the patients laugh then they forget their problems,’ says Indira. If you would like to help people with TB and other disabling conditions, please click here.
