INF helps Bishnu
06 Jan 08
Bishnu, 24, suffered for more than a year with palpitations, fainting, weakness and shortness of breath.
She was too ill to care properly for her son.
She needed heart valve replacement but, being from a poor family, could not afford treatment.
Her husband is abroad in Malaysia, working as a labourer.
However, INF’s Dang District Programme ‘poor fund’ was able to provide a significant amount towards an operation for her, and persuaded the hospital to reduce the cost. Bishnu has now had her operation and returned home, healthy and symptom-free.
