INF helps leprosy couple
27 Mar 08
Naine [aged 58] and Janmakala [aged 38] are a remarkable Christian couple from Nepal’s remote, mountainous Jumla District.
Naine and Janmakala both have multiple disabilities caused by leprosy.
They have just six fingers and no toes between them.
The Jumla District is very famous for its tasty apples and INF has helped Naine and Janmakala to start their own apple farm as a part of a socio-economic rehabilitation plan.
Two years ago Naine and Janmakala became the proud parents of a little boy called Prem [a Nepali name meaning ‘Love’].
