Sangay Lama comes from a village in Nepal's Makwanpur District. After rashes grew on his body, he sought help from a shaman but his condition deteriorated and blisters and sores began to develop.
A local clinic referred him to a hospital where he was diagnosed as having an unusual auto-immune skin disorder. He was confined to bed for three months until a Christian friend told him about INF's Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre in Pokhara. The friend paid for Sangay to travel to Pokhara by bus.
Sangay went to Green Pastures and was eventually admitted as an inpatient. There has been improvement in his condition, which can be treated but not cured. However, Sangay is thankful for the help he has received at Green Pastures. 'I am fortunate to have found this place,' he says.
