Sarbajit, 13, has cerebral palsy. He was brought to INF's Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for people with disabilities in Pokhara by a relative of his mother. INF provided him with a wheelchair and, after occupational therapy and physiotherapy at Green Pastures, he is now able to feed himself and sit without support. After discovering that other children with cerebral palsy are able to attend school, Sarbajit's mother would like him to go to school too. Staff at Green Pastures have taught her occupational therapy exercises which will help Sarbajit to lead a more fulfilled life.
Wheelchairs, physiotherapy and occupational therapy are among the 34 gifts in the INF gift catalogue.
