INF leprosy report
31 May 08
German doctor and former INF Member Ulf Basting-Neumann last month published a quality management report on INF’s 30-bed specialist leprosy clinic in Nepal’s Surkhet District.
The report audits the clinic’s wound care, staff-patient interaction, weekly ward round, documentation, premises and devices, and stock supply.
The clinic’s average score is an impressive 78.5%.
The prevalence of leprosy in Nepal is 1.45 per 10,000.
Nepal is one of only four countries where leprosy has not been eliminated.
The quality management report is now available in the downloads section of this web site.
