Medical camp starts
07 Feb 08
An INF gynæcology camp began yesterday in Nepal’s Dailekh District.
The camp runs until Tuesday 12 February and has been publicised on local radio.
Many people travel great distances in Nepal’s remote areas to receive treatment at INF camps, often walking for days before they can get a bus from the nearest road.
INF’s Ellen Findlay has travelled from Scotland to lead the Dailekh camp in conjunction with INF’s seven-member Nepali camps team, led by Pokhara-based co-ordinator Eka Dev Devkota.
Journalists from Radio Nepal are also due to be present.
