INF's 'Paluwa' HIV / AIDS programme has opened a new centre in Nepal's Baglung District.
The new centre will support Baglung Hospital in providing effective HIV / AIDS services such as anti-retroviral treatment and voluntary counselling and testing for people at risk and people living with HIV / AIDS.
The centre will also implement prevention activities through outreach and peer education in selected areas of Baglung District.
Gyanendra Prasad Tripathi is the manager of the new centre, which will be administered by the main Paluwa office in Pokhara. The word 'paluwa' in Nepali means 'new shoot' of a plant, and hence 'new life'.
