Fourteen Grade 8 secondary pupils at the Kathmandu International Study Centre [KISC] have raised funds for INF's child nutrition work in the remote, impoverished Jumla District of Nepal.

Fourteen-year-old Sarah Hickey suggested to school friends that INF's child nutrition work was a worthy cause after their Religious Education teacher Richard Harniess had challenged them to increase a loan of 100 Nepali rupees each, following the Bible story of the parable of the stewards.

The KISC pupils raised funds by giving from their pocket money, doing household chores for their parents, selling belongings at the KISC fair, and encouraging acquaintances to make donations.

'The pupils were very impressed by INF's child nutrition work in Jumla and appreciated the opportunity to support it,' says Richard. 'We pray God will continue to bless this great initiative.'

Sarah is one of five children from INF expatriate mission families who currently study at KISC, and INF helps to recruit new members of the teaching staff there. For more information, please click here to visit the KISC web site.
