World Leprosy Day
29 Jan 08
World Leprosy Day was marked yesterday at INF’s office in Ghorahi, the administrative centre of Dang District in Nepal’s Mid Western Region.
Around thirty people attended a special event, including INF staff, the District Health Officer, District TB and Leprosy Assistant, government health staff, journalists and patients.
Nine leprosy inpatients at INF’s Ghorahi clinic were presented with fruit and shawls by guests and INF staff. Among those representing INF were Dr Julie Lincoln from New Zealand and Mukunda Adhikari, the new Manager of INF’s Dang Programme.
