Trekking enthusiasts Eric and Helen Proudfoot have raised £1700 for INF's work through donations from family, friends and their church in the UK.
Eric and Helen are hoping that yet more funds may come in as a result of a brief letter they recently sent to family and friends and a presentation they gave at their church St Alkmund's in Duffield, Derbyshire. The letter and presentation were both prompted by Eric and Helen's participation in an INF sponsored trek in Nepal which gets under way today. The trek is designed to help raise funds for INF's 'Partnership For Rehabilitation' programme for people with disabilities. Five INF supporters from Australia and one other from the UK will also take part in the two-week trek, which is being led by INF Australia Development Director Phil Morris. The trekking group will have opportunities to see INF work in Pokhara.
