UK church supports campaign
07 Jan 08
All Saints, an Anglican church in the Thorpe Acre district of Loughborough in Leicestershire, has raised approximately £550 [around US$1,100] for INF’s new ‘Get a life!’ disability campaign. ‘One Saturday last month our church decided to hold a special bazaar in aid of ‘Get a life!’,’ says All Saints’ Elizabeth Steven. ‘The church members sold lunches, refreshments and home-made cakes, we organised a tombola and children’s competitions, and there were also stalls selling silverwork, framed needlework, knitted toys and hats, hand-made cards, paintings, gifts and ‘Fair Trade’ items,’ adds Elizabeth.
