Belgian kids back INF
16 Jan 08
A group of primary school children in Belgium have raised 470 Euros [the equivalent of around US$700] for INF’s Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for people with disabilities.
The fifth-year children at the European School in the Uccle area of Brussels decided to raise some funds for the Pokhara-based hospital after they had a lesson about poverty in Nepal with teacher Mark Arnett, who formerly worked with INF in Nepal.
‘This was a fabulous achievement combining the proceeds of a bake sale and recycled books and toys,’ says Mark.
