A church in Greifswald in Germany has collected almost €700 to buy gifts from the INF gift catalogue. At an Advent meeting on Sunday 5 December, church members watched videos about INF's work and the INF catalogue, and the church's initial target was to raise just over €300 to buy a buffalo with feed and training to benefit a poor INF client. However, the church easily surpassed that figure and eventually raised enough to buy two buffalo with feed and training plus three leprosy self-care kits at €10 each. The church made a 'giving barometer' chart and each time that someone gave €1 an extra gold star was added to the chart. 'People said that they really liked the catalogue because they could visualise what they were giving for,' says church member Dietrich Alte. Located in the former East Germany, the church has just 35 members.
