INF Nepal invites applications from qualified and self-motivated Nepali citizens for the posts of Construction Supervisor and Livelihood Supervisor.

Construction Supervisor

Work base:  Gorkha district HQ, with frequent visits to selected project areas

The main responsibilities for the post holder will involve implementation and monitoring of Grace Project’s construction work, designing plans in line with Nepal Government’s standard and also provide close supervision throughout the rebuilding process in target areas ensuring that physical infrastructure are made disaster resilient and disabled friendly. He/she should also be involved in purchasing, supplying and proper storage of construction materials.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Overseer in civil engineering
  • At least one year work experience with community mobilization to accomplish the community construction project; able to carry out project survey, design and estimate independently like resilient houses, schools, and other Gov. and public buildings; negotiation and community dealing skills.

Livelihood Supervisor

Work base:  Gorkha district HQ, with frequent visits to selected project areas

The post holder is expected to work alongside the Self-Help Groups, Local Partner Organisations and their staff to assess and identify livelihood needs, prioritize and support persons with disabilities to engage in potential livelihood activities that are less sensitive to existing and potential hazards and resilient to disasters. The person is also expected to design, develop and provide or coordinate necessary training to develop skills and capacities for disaster resilient livelihood strategies and viable options for income generation.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • SLC plus JTA or I.Sc. Ag
  • At least one year work experience in related field
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication [oral/written both Nepali and English], computer [word/excel/powerpoint/email], presentation, planning, implementing and reporting, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Able to work in a team, cooperative with all partners and stakeholders to meet mutual goals
