INF has an exciting opportunity to serve, develop and expand the biomedical engineering department at Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre. Established only a few years ago, the department has developed to provide preventive maintenance and repair of medical devices as well as advising on the procurement process.
A recent innovation is the creation of online user training material to ensure the safe use of medical equipment. The next steps will be to further mature the department, to extend and build its capacity in skill and human resources, and also to incorporate the provision of biomedical services into INF’s other two hospitals. Skills and knowledge transfer to governmental hospitals and biomedical services can also be explored.
This position is available to start in 18-24 months.
